Christmas wreaths — a workshop for seniors at the Town Hall Library in Gdańsk

A floristry workshop for seniors at the Biblioteka Ratuszowa in Gdańsk: participants made Christmas wreaths from greenery, berries and dried flowers, as well as festive arrangements.

On 9 November 2023 I led a floristry workshop for seniors at the Biblioteka Ratuszowa (Town Hall Library) in Gdańsk. For one evening, the space between the bookshelves became a workshop: long tables full of greenery, berries and dried flowers, with foam rings that were about to become Christmas wreaths.

The participants learned to build a wreath step by step — from a green base of cypress, pine and eucalyptus, through accents of rose hips, black berries, sea holly and cones, to dried hydrangea, rust-coloured leaves and ribbons. Smaller festive arrangements were made as well.
