Assisting Róbert Bartolen and Zygmunt Sieradzan at the REKPOL Mazovian Floristry Centre

At the REKPOL Mazovian Floristry Centre in Wieruchów near Warsaw I assisted two masters at a Christmas floristry show. Róbert Bartolen is a Slovak florist and floristry teacher from Nitra, named International Designer of the Year 2019 by Fusion Flowers magazine, who draws on the nature of Central Europe and Slavic motifs. Zygmunt Sieradzan is a Warsaw master florist, a lecturer at the International Floristry Institute and Polish Champion of 2010.

During the preparations I glued cone wreaths, built cascading arrangements of dried limonium and grasses, filled a bowl lined with gilded leaves with sea holly and prepared bouquets of spray roses. On stage these materials became the show pieces — cascades of purple lisianthus, limonium and peacock feathers.
